We are Jack and Katie Callicutt.  Here on our farm, we are blessed to work together daily doing what we were born to do and are fortunate to be able to raise our three children this way.  Most importantly we always try to practice honesty and humbleness and instill this in our children.  We are forever grateful to our customers for trusting us to provide you the cleanest pasture raised meats we possibly can.  We are learning daily even after our lifetimes of farming we aren't done yet!  We know there are always ways to improve, and we aim to have the best!

At Callicutt Cattle Company we enjoy providing healthy sustainable beef and pork to our customers.

We're a small town, family owned, farm that specializes in pasture raised Angus beef and pork.

We are third generation farmers and take pride in the fact that we never give any hormones or administered any antibiotics to our livestock

We understand the importance of knowing where your food comes from. When you purchase our products you can be confident that your meat is fresh and sustainably sourced. You can also rest assured that our growing process is meant to result in healthy happy livestock that provide premium tenderness and taste.

 Why pasture raised?

Our goal is to raise happy cows and pigs and to provide our customers with a quality product! 

From birth we care for our livestock in a way that maximizes their health and promotes premium taste and tenderness. 

Our animals are not kept confined. They have the benefit of growing within the pasture, grazing on grass and natural foliage. 

As our cow and pigs approach processing we transition them to a diet that includes a small amount of locally sourced grains.  This promotes a level of marbling within the meat that enhances its taste and tenderness. We strive to promote a well-balanced nutritious meat that our family and yours can enjoy and most importantly feel confident in the foods you are eating.  

Meet our Processors 

We use Mays Meat in Taylorsville for all our processing needs. They are USDA inspected and we are always pleased with the quality of their packaging and the great looking cuts they provide. 

They are a family-owned processing facility committed to meeting the highest standards of humane handling.

We are always confident in the product we receive and the way they care for our meat. 

What we feed our livestock matters.

We believe it is important to always keep our livestock grazing! They are pasture raised and grain finished. As they approach processing they enjoy their extra feed which we purchase from Deal-Rite Feeds Inc..

We are excited to purchase from them because they are a small, local, family owned company that sources their ingredients from within North Carolina.

They have been in business for over 60 years and are a great partner, helping us ensure our livestock have the benefit of quality feed.
